Janda Baik. No...I don't mean that "janda's" are "baik" (know what I mean), not that I am saying that they aren't...hahaha but this is where we spent AM's school holidays.
I wonder how this small town got it's name. There must be a story behind it. I only got to know that such a place exist some time ago...when it made the local news after the plane that was carrying Tan Sri Ghazali Shafie crashed.
Last December, we spent the holidays in Langkawi. This time around, rather than the sea, we thought that we best spend some time near a river. Janda Baik is quite near. A mere 30-45 minutes drive from KL and you then find yourself amongst lush green surroundings and a cool river to beat. Nice.
The missus booked accomodations at the Seri Pengantin Resort. Cost us RM 200 per night. Breakfast not included. But to make the deal sweeter, they threw in their ASTRO decoder provided we bought along our ASTRO card, which we did :)
Back home...it's the World Cup. It's too soon to say who looks favorite to win it. So far England has been dissapointing but there are two games to go. I've been spending a fortune on pizza's, cheezles, twistees, Lays, whatever chips....kuaci too plus Coke. Since it started, I've yet to miss a live game.
Next time, I'll put my neck on line and say who will win it. So far, Spain, Germany, Argentina looked good.
I feel tired...sleepy.....argghhh.....there's more.

How apt, having 'seri pengantin' at 'janda baik'. She remarried, right? hehehe :-)
